Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy
Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy is a treatment delivered by specifically trained physical therapists to address pelvic pain and pelvic floor issues that many women experience at some point in their lives. These issues may be a result of sports injury, childbirth, menopause or aging, but pelvic floor dysfunction can affect anyone. Muscles in the pelvic area may become tight or weak leading to a variety of painful or debilitating ailments that can affect your daily life. A physical therapist will perform a musculoskeletal examination to determine what specific type of treatment you will need which may include manual therapy, strengthening, flexibility and/or relaxation techniques. Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy is a relatively new type of physical therapy that many people may not be familiar with or may be too embarrassed to talk about. As a result many problems go untreated. The goal of Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy in Denver, CO is to improve your function and quality of life.
